J. Aaron Johnson, PhD


J. Aaron Johnson, PhD is an Associate Professor in the Institute of Public and Preventive Health in the Georgia Regents University.  An organizational sociologist, Dr. Johnson has served as PI or Co-PI on a number of projects largely focused on the adoption and implementation of evidence-based practices in substance abuse treatment.  His work has led to invitations to conduct workshops and deliver guest lectures to a number of organizations including the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers, the Therapeutic Communities of America, SAMHSA’s Center for Substance Abuse Treatment and NIDA’s Clinical Trials Network.  His research has been published in a number of journals including the Journal of Drug Issues, Journal of Behavioral Health Services & Research, Journal of Substance Abuse Treatment, and the Journal of Psychoactive Drugs.
